Moved the second weekend of the Ultimate Kimberley Festival, the Kimberley Moon Experience held on Saturday, 24 May, is an event highlight that has included performances from the biggest names in Australian music for the past two decades.

Birds of Tokyo, Jessica Mauboy, Amy Shark, King Stingray, The Screaming Jets, The Cat Empire, Jimmy Barnes, Paul Kelly, Lee Kernaghan, Bernard Fanning, Guy Sebastian and Eskimo Joe are some of the artists who have headlined the ‘Moon’. Next year’s line-up will be announced later this year with tickets expected to go on sale in November.

Ord Valley Events Chairperson Sophie Cooke said the Kimberley Moon Experience is the region’s night-of-nights, uniquely catering to a wide variety of people.

“There’s no other event in Australia that I know of where there’s a glamorous black-tie seated dinner, a general admission area and a styled licenced area in which patrons can enjoy the same magnificent show,” Ms Cooke said.

“We know the Kimberley Moon Experience is a bucket list event for many people and we are very proud of its outstanding reputation, along with the swag of awards we’ve won for the whole festival.”

The Boab Metals Ord Valley Muster won Gold at the 2023 WA Tourism Awards, and silver in the national Qantas Tourism Awards in the Festivals and Events category.

Held annually each May for the past 24 years (with the exceptions of 2020 and 2022 due to the pandemic), the ‘Muster’ lures travellers who seek unrivalled Kimberley experiences.
