The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with TikTok Thailand and Klook Thailand, proudly announces the launch of the “Amazing Thailand Passion Ambassador” initiative. This groundbreaking campaign, running from August 1 to 31, 2024, invites tourists and content creators to share their unforgettable travel experiences in Thailand for a chance to win incredible prizes worth over two million Baht.
Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, emphasized the initiative’s alignment with Thailand’s strategic vision to establish itself as a premier tourism hub. “The ‘Amazing Thailand Passion Ambassador’ initiative is designed to support the government’s ‘Ignite Thailand’s Tourism’ vision. It also embodies our PASS strategy – Partnership 360, Accelerate Access to Digital World, Subculture Movement, and Sustainably Now – and our ‘Marketing 6.0’ approach. Through this project, we aim to stimulate 15,000 trips in the latter half of this year, thereby significantly contributing to the Thai economy.”
Tourists and content creators are encouraged to post their travel videos on TikTok, showcasing Thailand’s rich and diverse landscapes across its five regions. Participants must set their posts to public and tag them with #AmazingThailandPassionAmbassador, #AmazingThailand, and #PassionAmbassador. The top 80 videos with the highest engagement will receive travel vouchers, while 2,000 other engaging entries will be rewarded with complimentary gifts. The winners will be announced on September 15, 2024, through Amazing Thailand’s social media channels.
Ms Chanida Klyphun, Head of Public Policy at TikTok Thailand, shared her enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to collaborate again with TAT to promote Thailand as an exciting travel destination. Our goal is to inspire tourists to become the next Amazing Thailand Passion Ambassador by creating and sharing their travel stories using TikTok’s innovative content creation tools. This initiative will showcase Thailand’s cultural richness and help boost the local economy.”
Previously, TikTok partnered with TAT to celebrate Songkran, Thailand’s traditional New Year, achieving massive engagement with over 1.1 million videos under #สงกรานต์ (#songkran) and 2.2 million videos under #songkarnmoment. This collaboration significantly increased international awareness and engagement during the festivities.
Klook Thailand is also a key partner in this initiative, offering enticing discounts to enhance travellers’ experiences. With a 10% discount on hotel and car rental bookings and a 12% discount on tourist activities across over 150 partners, including renowned names like Centara Hotels and Resorts, Dusit Hotels and Resorts, and more, travellers have ample reasons to explore Thailand.
