As a part of the 80th Guam Liberation festivities, the Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) is pleased to host the celebratory Liberation Block Party, which will be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 20 & 21, 2024 from 2:00pm-10:00pm at the Paseo de Susana and Chamorro Village in Hagatna.

The event will feature local food trucks, vendors, activities for kids, and a full line up of entertainment on two stages that will include international performers, live bands and dance troupes, a parachute landing, and fireworks shot from three locations in Hagatna.  The entertainment line up is included below.

GVB along with United Airlines and Ken Corporation will be bringing in the Yosakoi Amata dance troupe from Japan.  Also traveling from Japan is the CHamoru dance academy from Yokohama, Guma’ Taotao Kinahulo’ Atdao Na Tano led by Asami San Nicolas.  From Taiwan, a tribal dance troupe from the National Dong Hwa University College of Indigenous Studies (NDHUCIS) will be performing and popular Philippines DJ Yung Bawal will share his talent this weekend.

Local entertainment will include dancers from Talent Box, Guma’ Ma’higa and some of Guam’s best musicians, including upcomer Jonah Hanom, a reunited D.U.B (Da Uddah Band), and favorites The John Dank Show, Mix Plate, Pacific Cool, Pop Rocks & Soda, Konfrence, Sound Advice, Daniel Deleon Guerrero, Biggah & Bettah, and Cecilio & Kompany featuring Cecilio from the popular Hawaiian duo Cecilio & Kapono (C&K).

Veteran Tim Ohno will be parachuting into Paseo on Liberation Day, drawing attention to the sky prior to the fireworks, which will be released from the Hagatna Treatment Plant, Fort Apugan, and the Statue of Liberty Park in Hagatna at 7:21pm.
