Hilton ColomboHilton (NYSE: HLT), Asia’s fastest-growing hospitality company, has once again been named to Sri Lanka’s Best Workplaces™ list, achieving the #3 spot in the large-sized business category. Awarded by global research and consulting firm Great Place To Work®, this marks Hilton’s third workplace win in South East Asia this year, where Hilton ranked #2 in Vietnam and #3 in the Philippines in the countries’ 2024 Great Place to Work® Lists respectively.

“This honor truly reaffirms the faith and trust that our team members in Sri Lanka place in Hilton. Our team members are at the heart of everything we do, and this recognition speaks to our unwavering commitment to creating an exceptional, purpose-driven, and inclusive workplace for them,” said Alexandra Murray, vice president and regional head of South East Asia, Hilton. “As we continue to pursue growth in Sri Lanka and across South East Asia, we look forward to empowering them with meaningful career opportunities and a workplace where they can thrive.”

In addition to this prestigious ranking, Hilton has been recognized as a great workplace in the region and globally. The company ranked #2 in Asia on the 2023 Great Place to Work List and the No. 1 World’s Best Workplace by Great Place to Work and Fortune in 2024, following eight consecutive appearances on the “World’s Best” list, marking the first time a hospitality company has achieved the top honor.

To provide team members with an array of growth opportunities and a best-in-class employee experience, Hilton’s initiatives include:

  • Thrive at Hilton, Hilton’s team member value proposition designed to enable employees to thrive in mind, body, and spirit in both their professional and personal lives.
  • Lead@Hilton, an industry-leading platform that offers a suite of learning resources on management and leadership, including virtual development programs.
  • GoFlexi!, a new flexible work initiative in South East Asia launched in response to the evolving nature of work and the diverse needs of team members to provide an accommodating work environment that values wellness while enhancing employee engagement and overall productivity.

  • Care for All, a new industry-leading caregiving initiative designed to support team members and their loved ones on their caregiving journeys. The Care for All platform is an expansion of Hilton’s mental wellness hub, where it aims to support team members in self-care, as well as enable care for others, including sick, disabled, or elderly family members, children, and pets.
  • Careers@Hilton, a platform that provides guidance and highlights opportunities for young people in the hospitality industry through annual awareness campaigns.
  • Go Hilton, Hilton’s popular team member travel program, providing opportunities for all our corporate, managed, and franchised team members around the world to travel and recharge, regardless of their background, location, or role in the organization.

Beyond these initiatives, Hilton actively contributes to the growth of Sri Lanka’s hospitality industry while positively impacting the communities where they operate. For example, the recently opened Hilton Yala Resort launched the Hospitality Apprentice Program for Potential Youth (HAPPY) program, which aims to provide opportunities for young individuals aspiring to pursue careers in hospitality.
