Air Tahiti Nui, the flagship carrier to the breathtaking Islands of Tahiti, has launched a special edition magazine, Horue, to celebrate the special connection between Tahiti and surfing. A notion common to several Polynesian languages, horue expresses the depths of the ocean which the hollows of a great wave allows us to catch a glimpse of.
Detailing the history of surfing in one of the world’s most popular surfing destinations, the magazine features stunning photography and artworks, plus a reflection on how surfing has evolved in each of Tahiti’s five archipelagos. A sport that is intrinsically linked with the people of Tahiti, surfing in this stunning destination is unlike any other location, something the incredible imagery of photographer Ben Thouard has captured magnificently for this special publication.
