Releases its 2024 Tourism Information Booklet “Rail Travel in Japan with Tobu Railway”Tobu Railway announces the latest edition of its guide booklet “Rail Travel in Japan with Tobu Railway,” just released in January 2024! It is available in four languages, including Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

The booklet introduces the wonderful natural and historic sightseeing experiences that visitors will encounter along Tobu Railway’s routes, with information on transportation and accommodations.

Tobu Railways covers the longest operating distance in the Kanto region, reaching from Metropolitan Tokyo north to Tochigi and Saitama prefectures. This region is home to a plethora of historical, cultural, natural, and seasonal tourist attractions. Visitors can stroll Edo-era towns in authentic kimono; take a canal boat ride beneath blossomed cherry trees; witness a 100-year-old annual fireworks display near an enormous flower park; hike through woodlands, take a pleasure boat cruise on Japan’s highest altitude lake during the pinnacle of fall foliage; enjoy winter sake and the light-up of trees and traditional buildings covered in snow.

Along the Tobu Railway lines, visitors embrace Tokyo’s Old and New in time-honored Asakusa and modern TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN. TOKYO SKYTREE, the world’s tallest free-standing broadcasting tower, is a beacon to the future, but it is also the departure point for a relaxing two-hour limited express train journey from Tokyo to the historic towns and countryside of Nikko and Kinugawa-Onsen. This area is often called Okunikko or “deep Nikko,” for its lush nature, waterfalls, hot springs, and outdoor adventure activities.

Tobu Railway offers special discount passes to some of the tourism destinations. They are making every effort to ensure visitors enjoy a convenient, comfortable, safe, and picturesque train excursion on their next Tobu Railway ride in Japan!
