India’s Top Amateur Golf Event, Prestige Masters Series, Celebrates 10th Anniversary

The Prestige Golfshire Club is thrilled to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Prestige Masters Series, India’s foremost amateur golf tournament. Founded by Mr. Faiz Rezwan from the Prestige Group, the event has grown into a marquee event for amateurs, with participants flying in from across the world to compete.

Each year, 840 golfers take part in the event, with the tournament consisting of six qualifying legs held from May to October, culminating in the Grand Finale in November. The next qualifying leg will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2024, with registration now open for participants by emailing salman@golfshire.com.

In celebration of its 10th year, the overall winner will receive a coveted trip to attend the 2025 Masters Tournament at Augusta National, Georgia, USA, sponsored by Golftripz and Prestige Golfshire Club.

The first qualifying leg took place on Saturday 18 May at the Prestige Golfshire Club where, despite uncertain weather, 116 golfers competed, with Veer Puri emerging victorious with 38 points on a count back from Vaibhav Gupta, whilst Sashi Kiran Shetty finished third with 37 points. All three will advance to the series final, along with the rest of the top ten.

Declan McCollam, General Manager at Prestige Golfshire Club, said: “We are incredibly proud of how the Prestige Masters Series has grown over the past decade. Hosting the premier amateur tournament in Asia is befitting of the beautiful course here at the Prestige Golfshire Club, and we know that the experience for the golfers is second to none. The additional incentive of the trip to Augusta National for the 2025 Masters is no doubt a welcome one for our competitors, who will make memories that will last a lifetime.”
