We are excited to share that today marks the official start of the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC), beginning with the Wehena (Opening Ceremony) at 4 p.m. at Stan Sheriff Center. Hawai‘i’s hosting of the 13th FestPAC in 2024 is a monumental occasion, marking the first time the event will be held in the state.

Attendees will see spectacular performances from dancers led by Hawaiʻi’s most esteemed kumu hula, a prelude by the Royal Hawaiian Band, and a formal parade of nations representing the delegations present in Hawai‘i during FestPAC.

The event will be broadcast live on K5 (Hawaiʻi News Now) and will also be live streamed at festpachawaii.org/livestream.

The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority is honored to be a part of this important gathering, supporting FestPAC through our Signature Events program. We’re also proud to recognize HTA Chief Stewardship Officer Kalani Kaʻanāʻanā, Chair of the 13th FestPAC Commission, for his invaluable contributions.

As we welcome over 2,200 delegates from 27 nations, this is Hawai‘i’s opportunity to showcase our hospitality and share aloha to foster mutual understanding and appreciation for Pacific cultural diversity. The 10-day festival will offer more than 50 free events at multiple venues across Oʻahu, including the opening and closing ceremonies, Festival Village, arts exhibits, dance performances, and music events.
