The Westin Melbourne set the stage for an impactful charity event this May, in support of You Matter and their key fundraising event ‘High Tea’ For Hope’. Aimed at raising awareness and funds for those affected by family violence, the special High Tea event took place on May 26, 2024, in The Westin Melbourne’s grand Lobby Lounge, raising over $55,000.
Aligned with Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, the sold out event featured a compelling address from special guest speaker Rosie Batty AO, renowned for her advocacy work in raising awareness about family violence, and her recently released book ‘Hope’. Leading the proceedings as Master of Ceremonies was Elise McCann, a prominent figure in the Australian stage and screen industry.
“We were honored to host this event in partnership with You Matter, shining a light on an important cause that touches so many. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who played a role in making the event a resounding success and raising over $55,000 in ticket sales, auction and raffle prizes” Stephen Ferrigno, General Manager of The Westin Melbourne.
All proceeds from the event were directed to You Matter, with the support of The Westin Melbourne team and generous supplier partners who donated their time, products, and services to ensure that 100% of funds raised went directly to supporting this important cause.
