The Melbourne-Hanoi route marks Vietjet’s sixth connection between Vietnam and Australia. It offers travellers two round trips weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays using the state-of-the-art Airbus A330 aircraft. This new route is expected to enhance travel convenience and connectivity between Australia and Vietnam significantly.

This increase in competition and capacity benefits passengers with cheaper fares and provides exporters access to high-value markets. Vietnam is a key trading partner for Australia, and Melbourne Airport sees nearly three million tonnes of local products being exported to Vietnam annually,” Parashos stated.

Parashos also emphasized that Vietjet’s new service will complement its five-times-a-week flights to Ho Chi Minh City, offering Victorians enhanced connections within Vietnam and other Asian destinations. Introducing the Melbourne-Hanoi route is poised to attract investments, boost tourism, facilitate overseas study, and create job opportunities in Victoria.
