Thousands of Australians and business representatives joined the Roadshow Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh City Tourism in early May 2024. As a part of the event, BestPrice Travel provided many interesting activities and attractive deals to participants, presenting the great potential of Vietnam tourism.
Roadshow Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh City Tourism 2024 occurred in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, from May 13th to May 18th, 2024. As an association among the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Department, the Vietnam Embassy in Australia, and nearly 30 Vietnamese enterprises in the tourism sector, the event being held was to bring the image of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City closer to Australian travellers and promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries’ businesses.
Great opportunities for Vietnam to expand the Australian market
After the success of last year’s event, Roadshow Australia 2024 welcomed thousands of participants, both travellers and business representatives, to its venues. People coming to the event were offered an array of activities, from connecting with travel consultants and getting great deals at enterprises’ booths to experiencing Vietnamese cuisine and culture at the exhibition.
In the opening speech, Mr. Phan Van Mai, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, expressed his desire to attract more Australian tourists as well as enterprises to Ho Chi Minh City, emphasizing the city’s blend of cultural essence, historical values, modernity, and people’s dynamic spirit.
As one of twenty-five companies participating in Roadshow Australia 2024, BestPrice Travel Vietnam saw this as a chance to promote not only Ho Chi Minh City but also Vietnam tourism. During the events, BestPrice Travel successfully connected almost 2,000 travellers and 100 business partners. This is also an excellent opportunity for BestPrice Travel to meet in person with long-time partners in the Australian market.
The company introduced a variety of Vietnam tour packages and services customized for the Australian market. “Australian visitors are genuinely into local experiences and cuisine in Vietnam, so in this year’s event, we are concentratedly providing package tours with the most iconic destinations like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hoi An, and Halong Bay. Hopefully, they will satisfy our dear Aussies.” Mrs Moon Nguyen, Sales Manager of BestPrice Travel, shared this with optimism.
Apart from new products, 20% discounts for direct purchases and hundreds of travel vouchers and souvenirs were also offered to those visiting BestPrice Travel’s booth. “70% of B2C visitors are eager to discover Vietnam for the first time. Regarding B2B businesses in Australia, they seek a reliable local agent offering the best rates and high-quality travel services in Vietnam for the long term,” said Mrs. Hien Kim – Director of Sales.
Thanks to a great range of suitable Vietnam tour packages and attractive deals, many tourists were convinced to experience Vietnam on their upcoming trips. Expectedly, BestPrice Travel will have nearly 100 travel groups from Australia coming to Vietnam this year after the event.
BestPrice Travel Vietnam targets Australian tourists through Roadshow 2024
Not only at Roadshow Australia 2024, attracting more Australian visitors to Vietnam is also BestPrice Travel’s core strategy for the year. The company itself has witnessed the predominance of Australian tourists in its customer base for years.
Currently, visitors from Australia are taking up about 40% of BestPrice Travel’s inbound tourists. In 2024, the company’s goal is to serve more than 150,000 tourists from Australia to Vietnam and surrounding countries in Southeast Asia. To accomplish this goal, the company intends to target B2C customers as well as approach the B2B market.
In terms of cooperation with BestPrice Travel, Ms Margaret from ADT Travel Australia also shared: “BestPrice Travel is our long-time partner, now having the opportunity to meet directly in Australia makes us feel more trustworthy. The two sides will continue cooperating to serve customers better in the future.”
“This kind of travel expo gives us a lot of opportunities to meet and discuss directly with our partners in the local country, from which we can better understand and build the most suitable tour products.” said BestPrice Travel representative.
With in-depth experience working with Australian customers, Mrs Hien Kim shared: “In general, the B2C market is significantly large yet competitive and capital-intensive. Meanwhile, B2B customers are fewer and need more time to approach but require a smaller budget for advertising. Therefore, BestPrice Travel’s strategy will stay unchanged, focusing on B2C customers and expanding the B2B network.”
As the initial move in BestPrice Travel’s 2024 strategies, participating in Roadshow Australia 2024 has brought about many opportunities for the company in the Australian market, paving the way for activities in the future.
In the upcoming months, BestPrice Travel Vietnam is planning to open a representative office in Sydney, Australia, to bring services closer to B2C customers, support emergency issues, and expand the network system to B2B partners in the country.
