Discover the robust 13.8% increase in global air travel demand for March 2024, as reported by IATA.The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) has unveiled enhancements to the National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) to further elevate the credibility and distinction of the awards.

Nominations for the awards open today and close 31 May via www.atia.travel/NTIA2024.  Beginning this year, there will be additional benchmarks to the eligibility criteria for select categories.

On the advice of the NTIA Custodians, nominees for these criteria will need to demonstrate a minimum Total Transaction Value (TTV) in order to qualify.

Additionally, in order to deepen the evaluation process, finalists in the judged ATAS Accredited Business categories will have the opportunity to present their achievements directly to a panel of industry judges.  This increased interaction with the finalists will help the judges in making the most informed choice of Award recipients.

The 2024 awards will see the return of 35 celebrated categories, including the reintroduction of the ‘Most Outstanding Consumer Travel Journalist’ and ‘Most Outstanding Marketing Campaign’.

ATIA is also hosting the Beyond Borders summit on 25 October, the day before NTIA.  All individual tickets purchased this month will receive included individual ATIA membership: www.atia.travel/bb24.
