French Polynesian cargo cruise line Aranui Cruises is slashing thousands off its 2025 Austral and Marquesas Islands cruises with an autumn sale offering 50 per cent off the second guest in a twin share room and no single supplement for solo travellers.
On sale until June 21, 2024, Aranui’s 12-day roundtrip voyage from Papeete to the Marquesas Islands is priced from $8181* for a solo traveller in a stateroom, with the removal of the usual 50 per cent single supplement saving $3807. While the 50 per cent discount on a second guest also saves a couple at least $3807, with a twin share stateroom discounted to $12,556* for two guests.
During Aranui’s traditional cargo cruise itinerary to French Polynesia’s northern Marquesas Islands, 125-metre mixed freight and passenger vessel Aranui 5 delivers freight to the six inhabited Marquesas Islands – Hiva Oa, Nuku Hiva, Ua Pou, Ua Huka, Tahuata and Fatu Hiva – and makes picturesque pitstops at Tuamotu atolls Fakarava, Rangiroa and Makatea, as well as Bora Bora.

The 50 per cent discount on a second guest offers couples a saving of $4025, with a twin share stateroom priced from $13,213* for two guests.
The special southern voyages are the only way to see all five inhabited Austral Islands – Tubuai, Rurutu, Rimatara, Raivavae, known as the Bora Bora of the south, and Rapa Iti, which is only accessible by sea and Aranui 5 is currently the only local cruise ship allowed to visit. For the first time in 2025, Aranui 5 will deliver cargo to the southern Austral Islands, while also collecting goods to deliver to Raiatea, Bora Bora and Papeete on the return leg.
