Alyeska Resort: Unveil a New Perspective
Summer 2023 saw the opening of Alyeska Veilbreaker Skybridges. Participants harness in and traverse two 600-foot long skybridges suspended 2,500 feet above the valley floor. Alyeska’s expert mountain guides leads groups of up to six on a 2–3-hour journey, connecting the peaks of Alyeska Mountain, Mighty Mite, and Glacier Bowl, offering breathtaking views of Chugach State Park, Turnagain Arm, and more. This experience is open in the summer months, and tours are subject to weather conditions.

Bike and Hike Anchorage
Go Hike Alaska has partnered with Alaska Trail Guides for the Bike and Hike Tour Anchorage. The day commences with a 15-kilometre bike excursion on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, meandering through the woods and along the coast, providing breathtaking views of Cook Inlet and surrounding mountain ranges. As guests cycle along Anchorage’s most scenic paved multi-use trail, the guide narrates the city’s history. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound, with chances to spot moose, bears, and bald eagles.
Following the bike ride, guests embark on a short, scenic drive north of the city to meet their hiking guide at the Eagle River Nature Center. Setting out on foot, the guide shares local expertise on the area’s flora and fauna amid towering mountain peaks and the nearby rumble of a river.

Alaskan Sights and Bites
Go Hike Alaska has also collaborated with Alaskan Sights and Bites to offer a full day of outdoor enjoyment. This combination food and hiking tour begins with the Alaskan Sights and Bites Anchorage Walking Tour – Downtown Food & History, featuring local history and delectable cuisine from downtown Anchorage. Then, guests hop into the van with Go Hike Alaska for an afternoon of informative Flora & Fauna Nature Walks.

Introducing MyAlaskaGuide: Your Personal Tour Companion
MyAlaskaGuide is a new app by Alaska Tour Services that places a local, experienced tour guide in a visitor’s pocket. The tours activate via GPS as visitors explore Anchorage, offering engaging historical stories and insights from Alaska’s early days. The Anchorage Historic Walking Tour, the Seward Historic Walking Tour and The Anchorage Art Tour are currently available, with driving tours and city tours across the state soon to follow. Tours typically cover between 2.5 to 3.5 kilometres of walking and take about two hours to complete. The MyAlaskaGuide app is available year-round for both iPhone and Android devices.

Highliner Hotel: The brand new Highliner Hotel is a fully remodelled, 16-room hotel situated in downtown Anchorage. Each room is designed to immerse guests in the world of angling in Alaska. The hotel is located just a half a block from the Delaney Park Strip and a short walk from the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail.
Aviator Hotel: Experience Anchorage’s newest luxury boutique hotel. The former Aviator Hotel is undergoing a $40 million renovation that will transform it into a high-end property with 250 rooms. A full relaunch is expected in Autumn 2024, offering visitors a luxurious and unique experience with stunning views, rotating art exhibits, conference rooms, and a brewery.
