In the heart of Denver, The Curtis Hotel is known for its vibrant atmosphere and unwavering commitment to community and inclusivity. This Women’s History Month, The Curtis is elevating its engagement by transforming its regular “Lemonade Stands” into “LemonAid Stands,” an initiative that marries entertainment with a purpose, all within the colourful walls of what is affectionately known as the world’s happiest hotel.
Each Friday, guests are welcomed into a pop culture and festivity world where local vendors, movie nights, drag bingo, and more come to life. However, throughout March, these gatherings will serve a dual purpose, inviting guests to partake in the regular programming while encouraging donations to The Center on Colfax, a beacon for the LGBTQ community in the Rocky Mountain region and a longtime partner of The Curtis.
The lineup of events is as diverse as the guests and stories that fill the hotel’s halls. From a cinematic experience featuring “Pitch Perfect” to celebrating the International Day of Happiness, each LemonAid Stand is crafted to bring joy, reflection, and community spirit to the forefront. Curtis’s woman-led team is particularly excited to use this platform to honour the contributions and resilience of women, especially those within the LGBTQIA+ community, reinforcing Denver’s reputation as a city of happiness and inclusion.
This initiative is more than just an opportunity for community engagement; it’s a testament to The Curtis’s role in shaping a more inclusive and joyful Denver. Guests are not just spectators but active participants in a movement that celebrates history, culture, and the power of giving back.
As The Curtis Hotel transforms its lobby into a hub of philanthropy and fun, it invites all to celebrate Women’s History Month in a uniquely Denver way. Through laughter, lemonade, and the collective spirit of support, The Curtis is not just hosting events; it’s fostering a legacy of love, acceptance, and community solidarity.
