Turkish Airlines Istanbul to Melbourne.In an unprecedented move that marks a significant milestone in global aviation, Turkish Airlines has launched its much-anticipated flights to Melbourne, Australia, extending its vast network to encompass all six inhabited continents. The inaugural flight, which took off last night, symbolizes a long-awaited dream come true for the flag carrier, positioning it as the only European airline to offer direct services to Melbourne Airport. The Victorian State Government and Melbourne Airport have collaboratively worked to bring Turkish Airlines to Melbourne, recognizing the significance of this connection for Victoria’s large Türkiye-born community. Natalie Hutchins, Minister for Jobs and Industry, emphasized the importance of this new route in fostering more accessible connections and boosting tourism. Similarly, Melbourne Airport CEO Lorie Argus celebrated the airline’s entry into the Australian market, noting the positive implications for travellers and local exporters.

This new service is a win for connectivity and the consumer, promising competitive fares and more travel options. With introductory prices bound to attract keen travellers, Turkish Airlines offers return economy fares from Melbourne starting at $1,499 and business fares from $7,599 for a limited time.
