Tokyo’s nightlife entertainment destination LUXE BAR now opens in Shinjuku, aiming to lead tourists from around the world to explore and unveil the charm of Japanese hostess club culture.

 Japan has always been one of Asia’s most popular tourist destinations, with its rich and diverse local culture contributing to the flourishing tourism industry; while the captivating and dazzling nightlife is particularly unique and mysterious to the outsiders. The opening of LUXE BAR uncovers the fine line between entertainment and controversy, inviting guests to explore the dynamics and cultural nuances of Kyabakura (キャバクラ).

 

 Occupying an expansive area of 1,000 square feet, LUXE BAR offers ample space for up to 30 guests. The bar’s interior has been meticulously crafted by the renowned Japanese design company, engine, inc., resulting in a captivating ambiance. By artfully integrating various lighting elements and mirrors, the design achieves a remarkable aesthetic of transparency, evoking a sense of elegance and grandeur.

 The entrance guides guests through a corridor adorned with arch-shaped light strips, leading to a stunning destination. Inside the bar area, dynamic lighting and mirrors decorate the walls, while artist illustrations depict women in graceful postures intertwined with vibrant and splendid flowers. This mysterious thematic blend creates an alluring atmosphere that attracts guests, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.

 The VIP room seamlessly combines contemporary art, design, and fashionable amenities. Its mirror wall adorned with blue velvet creates a mesmerizing ambiance, reminiscent of glistening lake waters. This shimmering beauty adds an enchanting touch to the room. Additionally, the VIP room is thoughtfully equipped with karaoke facilities, offering a private entertainment space for up to 8 guests.

 The Japanese team at LUXE BAR is adept at seamlessly conversing in both Japanese and English, allowing them to effortlessly connect with guests from around the globe. Their enthusiastic and passionate approach fosters an intoxicating international ambiance, ensuring that every visitor feels embraced by the warm hospitality and understood throughout their experience.

 The entrance fee of LUXE BAR starts at 10,000 yen per person (40 minutes), and guests can enjoy unlimited drinks, with services provided by three Japanese hostesses (each hostess serves for 10-15 minutes). Guests who wish to order drinks for the hostesses can choose from cocktails (2,500 yen) or shots (3,750 yen).

 For guests who opt for the VIP room service and enjoy the karaoke facilities, the entrance fee begins at 25,000 yen per guest (up to 8 guests) for a duration of 40 minutes – and guests are requested to order a bottle of Champagne from the menu, with prices starting from 43,750 yen.

 As part of the VIP experience, guests are treated to unlimited drink service and attended by three Japanese hostesses, with each hostess serving for 10-15 minutes. To express their appreciation for the hostesses, guests have the option to order cocktails (2,700 yen) or shots (4,050 yen) for the hostesses. Should guests desire the exclusive services of a designated hostess, an additional fee of 3,750 yen for a 40-minute duration will be applicable.

 LUXE BAR provides an unlimited drink menu that encompasses an extensive selection of beverages, including shochu, whisky, beer, soft drinks, juice, and tea. For those seeking an elevated drinking experience, premium beverage options are available for additional orders, ensuring guests indulge in the ultimate libation journey.

 Noteworthy signature recommendations include the Hakushu 18-year-old Whisky (500,000 yen), renowned for its forest-like, subtly smoky profile derived from Suntory’s Mt. Kaikomagatake distillery. Another standout choice is the Yamazaki 12-year-old Whisky (125,000 yen), which showcases a refined Japanese taste characterized by notes of matured fruit and a delightful vanilla fragrance, attributed to the malt whiskies aged in white oak casks.

 The champagne selection at LUXE BAR is an essential component of the nightlife experience, offering a diverse range of artfully curated vintage champagnes. Among the luxurious representatives of the champagne world, esteemed choices include Krug 2006 (526,500 yen). This exquisite champagne delights the palate with its generous, deep, and fresh character, showcasing aromatic persistence and a long-lasting finish. Armand de Brignac Blanc de Blancs (Silver) (750,000 yen), presented in an antique silver bottle, unveils a light and clear bouquet adorned with youthful fruit notes and delicate floral accents. For a truly remarkable champagne experience, the Dom Pérignon Plénitude P2 Vintage 2004 (625,000 yen) combines extreme tactile precision with a deep and sculptural profile, culminating in a persistent and elegant finish enriched by sappy, licorice undertones.

 Mr Keisuke Watanabe, the Japanese co-founder of LUXE BAR, brings extensive experience in the Japanese food and beverage industry, successfully launching various dining establishments over the years. Recognising the allure of Japan’s hostess club culture to tourists from around the world, Mr Watanabe aims to bridge the language barrier and provide an intimate and enjoyable nightlife experience.
