Spread the love

TrailGraze will celebrate the producers of North West Tasmania for the third year running from 19-21 April, 2024. Presented by Tasmania’s Tasting Trail, the annual, weekend-long event is fast becoming a highlight in every food and travel lover’s calendar, shining a spotlight on the inspiring producers that call this stunning region of the state home. The Tasting Trail showcases the diversity of the North West food bowl, offering up an array of produce from fruits, nuts, cheese, meats, seafood, condiments and confectionery, to wine, cider, craft beer and spirits.

TrailGraze 2024 promises to be bigger and better than ever, expanding to host a one-off dinner on Friday 19th

April. The inaugural event will see esteemed TrailGraze ambassadors, Chefs Palisa Anderson (Chat Thai) and Lilly Trewartha (Izakaya Temporary), and acclaimed beverage expert and journalist Mike Bennie, team up to create a menu that showcases ingredients and drinks from the Trail. Set within the quintessentially Tasmanian scenes of Spreyton Cider Co.’s apple orchards, the TrailGraze Dinner invites guests to enjoy a produce-driven feast that truly epitomises the region’s exceptional produce.

Across the weekend, 32 participating producers will host exclusive events and activities that take visitors into the heart of their operations. From grape-stomping to seasonal spirits, and chocolate workshops to truffle dog training, TrailGraze presents a rare opportunity to go beyond the farmgate. Taking place during mainland and Tasmanian school holidays, the 2024 event program invites both adult indulgence and family-friendly experiences, with face painting, treasure hunts, games and nature play dotted throughout the Trail to keep everyone entertained throughout the weekend.

“Our venues and producers have really upped the ante this year. There will be so much to eat, drink and experience along Tasmania’s Tasting Trail,” says Tasting Trail Chair Scott Dornauf, of Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm. “Get your family and friends together and block out this weekend in April. You’ll want to hit the road and enjoy as much as you possibly can”.

TrailGraze is an initiative of the popular Tasting Trail, a year-round self-guided touring experience in the North and North West of Tasmania. The Tasting Trail committee has collaborated with premium producers and tourism operators to create interactive online maps and recommended itineraries that enable visitors to deeply engage with the region’s extraordinary agriculture.

“Our Tasting Trail producers have elevated their offerings to bring the essence of their produce directly to you, for an unforgettable weekend,” says West by North West CEO, Gabriella Conti.

TrailGraze is free to attend, with many producers hosting free or ticketed experiences across the event weekend. Visitors can pre-book experiences or graze at their leisure, with places being held for walk-in visitors.
