Last month, Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau welcomed eight travel trade partners on a famil to experience the best of Park City and a range of offerings on the mountain and resorts within.

In attendance were senior travel trade managers from across Australia and New Zealand including representatives from Sno N Ski Holidays, Blue Powder Tours and Luxury Escapes.

After enjoying a first night of luxury at St. Regis Deer Valley, which features ski-in and ski-out access, the group sat down for dinner with the hotel’s Director of Leisure Sales, John Bagley. This was followed by site tours throughout Deer Valley, with visits to five-star luxurious resort hotels including the Bavarian-inspired alpine chic residences Goldener Hirsch, the newest ski-in/ski-out lodging Empire Residences, the sprawling mountain retreat of Montage Deer Valley, and Utah’s longest-running five-star spa, Stein Eriksen Lodge.

Famil highlights included skiing on The Greatest Snow on Earth® in not one, but two world-class ski resorts: Deer Valley and Park City Mountain. The group also had the opportunity to explore various viewpoints that make the resorts unique. Additionally, dinner at the Top of Main Brew Pub on Main Street was a memorable experience. The itinerary also included a visit to Woodward Park City to experience tubing down the longest tubing runs in Utah, as well as networking with partners from throughout the destination’s resorts to hear the latest product and accommodation updates.

Site tours of Park City Mountain properties, including Sundial nestled in the heart of Canyons Village, Lift and the recently renovated Grand Summit Hotel were also conducted, allowing visitors a taste of the resort’s attractions and properties.

Sachi Sado, Director of Global Sales, for Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau said: “The week was a showcase of our hospitality and all the wonderful reasons to sell and visit Park City – from the breadth of adventures on offer across two world-class ski resorts, Park City Mountain and Deer Valley, to the charm of historic Main Street, and the selection of our resorts and hotels.”

“We hope the experience has left our partners motivated to contract and sell Park City, and we look forward to welcoming even more travellers to our resorts as a result, throughout 2024 and into 2025.”

Attendees raved about their experience, praising the destination’s hidden gems and attractions for Aussie and Kiwi travellers.

Grace Kearney from Sno N Ski Holidays said, “Tubing was awesome at Woodward Park City. It was a great insight into other options available for rest days, or for travellers who want to experience activities off the slopes. And being there for the mogul competition at the Freestyle World Cup was such an incredible experience that not many people get.”

“Skiing for the first time was unreal, there is nothing better than learning how to ski at Deer Valley. It was such a treat and something I will never forget. The instructors know everything. The weather was premium. It’s a great place to learn how to ski as a snowboarder.”

Alexander Griffiths from Luxury Escapes said, “With the new Luxury Escapes Agent Hub planning to launch very soon, we look forward to supporting the travel trade with all that Park City has to offer. Being peak season dates, it was awesome to see the resort humming across dates that our ski clientele would typically be looking to book.”
