With all nights sold out in January, MOV’IN BED announces its new movie lineup for February and March, with special screenings and offers for Galentine’s Night, Valentine’s Day and a mystery screening on Oscar Night.
Sydney is wholeheartedly in love with MOV’IN BED, the outdoor beach cinema experience that’s selling out night after night.
The love for Sydney filmgoers is reciprocated, and today MOV’IN BED is releasing tickets for its Valentines Week screenings, along with films through February and March. That includes Oscar Week screenings ahead of the Academy Awards ceremony, culminating in a special celebration on Oscar night to watch the Best Picture winner – a mystery ticket until that afternoon.
It’s a lot of entertainment going live on movinbed.com today, so here is the rundown:
February Films at MOV’IN BED for Love and Laughter
Valentines Week kicks off on Tuesday 13th February with a Galentine’s Night screening of the 2024 Mean Girls reboot. It’s a “Girls Night Only” ticketed event – and that includes whatever kind of girl a person identifies as! They just need to dig the mean girls on screen – and the special price on offer of three for the price of two in a queen size bed.
Wednesday 14th February is the night for lovers and The Notebook is the winningly tender chick flick that pays tribute to passionate love. After 20 years, it’s the film that still brings romantics to their knees, so the team at MOV’IN BED are prepared for anything, even a possible proposal on the sand at Barangaroo.
There might not be proposals on Singles Awareness Day, but there will be a lot of fun on Thursday 15th February when Crazy Stupid Love screens at MOV’IN BED. Both Valentines Day and Singles Awareness Day will give VIP bed guests a glass of champagne on arrival, a chocolate-dipped strawberry and a movie date to remember.
Cult romance and comedy films from the ‘80s and ‘90s feature in February and March. For devotees that haven’t seen them on a big screen in decades, When Harry Met Sally, Notting Hill, Dirty Dancing and the iconic teen classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off are perfect for revisiting on the MOV’IN BED giant 4K screen.
And for the Millennials and Gen Zs that haven’t heard some of the most iconic lines in movie history, it’s an opportunity to discover cinematic gems. “I’ll have what she’s having.” “I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.” “Nobody puts Baby in a corner.” These are defining moments in timeless films ideal for mellow nights.
Oscar Week and MOV’IN BED’s Mystery Oscar Night.
With Oscar nominations announced today, it could be a race between Oppenheimer or Killers of the Flower Moon, both films selling out at their MOV’IN BED screenings. We can’t rule out a victory by Barbie or The Holdovers – these multi-nominated films are all screening at MOV’IN BED, so there is no excuse not to be prepared on Oscars Day, Monday March 11th in Australia. Tickets are on sale for the Mystery Monday night Oscar Best Picture event, where guests can dress in their red carpet splendour and sip on champagne while watching the winning film, as Hollywood comes to the Beach Cinema at Barangaroo.
On any night MOV’IN BED is the hottest ticket in town and the coolest movie experience during Sydney’s summer and autumn. The beach at Barangaroo with the country’s biggest outdoor cinema screen has captured hearts and thrilled film-loving audiences and continues with memorable movie nights through until April 14.
