Acclaimed Singapore bar, MO BAR, made its highly anticipated return to the city-state’s cocktail scene with its official reopening party on Monday night. The event was hosted by the MO BAR bar team, where guests got to enjoy signature drinks from the bar’s latest Blue Print menu that traces Singapore’s architectural history — sponsored by spirit partners Bacardi, Michter’s, Naked Malt Roku Gin, Haku Vodka and The London Essence Company.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve had from the industry. Since we reopened our doors in September, our journey at MO BAR has been nothing short of amazing,” shared Bar Manager Charlie Kim during the evening. “Let’s raise our glasses and toast to the friendships forged and more evenings filled with exceptional mixology.”
On January 28: The Old Man Hong Kong x MO BAR Singapore
Excitement continues to brew following the reopening party, as award-winning bar team from Hong Kong’s The Old Man — ranked #47 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023 — arrives in the lion city. Represented by Bar Manager, Art, guests will get to sip on four cocktails from The Old Man’s signature menu, tracing tales from American novelist Ernest Hemingway’s collection of stories. For a twist on the classic negroni, the Double-Barreled Shotgun features BACARDÍ Añejo Cuatro, Rye Whisky, Martini Rosso, Applewood gin and a splash of Sherry. Demons Got Darker brings fruity notes of pink guava and wild elderflower to the fore, while Secret Treatment features Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru, honeydew wine, and white peony-infused vermouth. Lastly, Critical Heritage packs umami-filled flavours in a savoury concoction of miso, tomato, strawberry and Grey Goose vodka distilled with chocolate malt.
