“We’re pleased to be able to launch our full 2025 season for travel on The Ghan, Indian Pacific and Great Southern, including some great new offerings that include luxury hotel stays and fantastic new touring opportunities,” says David Donald, Executive General Manager of Rail at Journey Beyond. “With the new, extended Indian Pacific five-day itinerary launching in 2025 and Gold Premium being available across all three of our multi-day train journeys, there are even more reasons to travel Australia by train.”

Along with the Indian Pacific eastbound journey extending to four nights, five days, with new Off Train Experiences, the 2025 season includes a range of popular holiday packages, such as Red Centre Spectacular, which pairs The Ghan with small-group, luxury touring with Outback Spirit and The Ghan Outback to Ocean, which includes The Ghan and a voyage through the Kimberley aboard PONANT’s Le Laperouse. This package comprises three nights at the exquisite Capella Sydney, in the historical heart of Sydney footsteps away from the city’s most iconic landmarks, the transcontinental Indian Pacific train journey, and three nights at award-winning COMO The Treasury, housed within Perth’s historic State Buildings.

Perth with Rottnest Escape is another of the new packages, which sees the Indian Pacific journey paired with three nights in Perth, and ferry transfers to Rottnest Island, the home of the adorable quokka, for a luxury overnight stay at Samphire Rottnest. This package is available in both directions, providing guests starting in Perth the opportunity to explore Rottnest Island and the Western Australian capital before experiencing the all-new, extended Indian Pacific itinerary. The new Indian Pacific itinerary includes an additional night on board, new Off Train Experiences, and a signature dining experience at Seppeltsfield Barossa that promises to be spectacular.

An additional range of Journey Beyond’s most popular holiday packages has also been released as part of this launch, including Southern Wines and Wildlife, which pairs The Ghan with Adelaide and Kangaroo Island touring. The popular Northern Explorer rail and sail package also appears, with an increased number of departures. This spectacular 25-day itinerary comes close to circumnavigating Australia via the Indian Pacific train journey and a 17-day cruise on Crown Princess.
