Santa’ braved today’s scorching heat to abseil down the imposing facade of Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, bringing presents and messages of wellbeing and peace to onlookers. Santa may be used to travelling long distances from the North Pole, but coming down the 35 storey (115 metres) hotel was definitely an unusual way of delivering Christmas joy, and the temperatures today were testing!! This year in addition to delivering chocolates to all onlookers, Santa and his elves released some white doves in a message of peace and wellbeing this festive season.
Dressed in full Santa gear, the role was played by Edvaldo Godoy, owner of high-rise window cleaning business, Brazil Clean, which is well known for abseiling down Sydney’s skyscrapers, cleaning windows.
