Mastercard announced today the appointment of Carlos Quintero as Executive Vice President of Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) for the company’s Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region. Carlos will report to Mastercard’s LAC President, Andrea Scerch, and Raja Rajamannar, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Mastercard globally. He will be based in Miami and part of the region’s Executive Leadership team and the global IMC Leadership Team. 

 

As part of his role, Carlos will work with his team based across the region to develop marketing and communications programs that drive the company’s business strategy and growth. He will leverage Mastercard’s iconic, multi-dimensional marketing platform, Priceless, to create differentiation and engagement with consumers and B2B audiences.

Carlos joins Mastercard from consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble (P&G) where he held various leadership roles throughout his more than 17 years with the company. Most recently, he led the Oral Care business for North America, managing marketing, communications, innovation, e-commerce, and media. Throughout his tenure at P&G, he also led business teams for Gillette, Pampers, and other brands. He holds a Materials Engineering degree from Simon Bolivar University in Venezuela and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Canada.
