On Friday, December 1, 2023, a new aparthotel will open its doors in the hiking and winter sports region of Sand in Taufers in South Tyrol. In addition to its exciting architecture, the new Green PearlsⓇ partner stands out for its sustainable concept.
The Alps’ first energy-self-sufficient Eco-Aparthotel
A blend of nature vacation and luxury with plenty of freedom and privacy – that’s what guests can expect at OLM Nature Escape starting in December.
Key Facts at a Glance:
The Architecture: OLM Nature Escape sets new standards in sustainable hotel architecture. The entire building is Casa Clima Nature certified. Its main building material is local larch wood. Most striking, of course, is the circular shape, which, according to the owner, symbolizes the cycle of nature and harmony.
Energy & Environment: Energy self-sufficiency means that the entire facility is powered by self-generated heat and electricity. To this end, there are 126 geothermal probes on the 20,000-square-meter site. A solar array provides electricity for the heat pumps.
Rooms: There are 33 apartment suites with a private kitchen and study. Some even come with a mini spa, private sauna, and freestanding bathtub.
Spa: In addition to the private spa, guests have access to an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, and a natural swimming pond.
Sports: Yoga and fitness center, hiking, and winter sports area right outside the hotel.
Culinary delights: In addition to the included breakfast, several catering options are available. The dinner concept was developed in cooperation with Michelin-starred chef Theodor Falser.
