Spread the love

The Enchanted Garden presented by Royal Caribbean transforms Roma Street Parkland into a spellbinding illuminated landscape, inviting park-goers to embark on a fantastical quest within a dazzling new lightshow spectacle from 23 November to 20 December 2023.

The return of the popular experience loved by all ages will see visitors spellbound by twinkling lights, intricate holograms, dazzling lasers and night-time projections plus mesmerising special effects across more than 22,000sqm of inner-city parklands.

A new interactive tale and map guides visitors through a carefully constructed environmental narrative centred on celebrating nature through connection, play, discovery and storytelling.

The Enchanted Garden will see human explorers help a mischievous possum on a journey to locate shards of a shattered crystal heart within the wondrous world of Mystic Island and restore balance and harmony to the natural world.

With hidden delights at every turn, the almost 1km self-guided and wheelchair-accessible trail takes 30 to 40 minutes to complete, however visitors can also explore at their leisure.

Due to popular demand, this year’s The Enchanted Garden event has an extended 28-night season plus an additional up-late session at 9:15pm each night.

Tickets are available from Monday 13 November 2023 at 10am AEST, priced at $7 per person (aged 3 – 12 years of age) and $9 per person (aged 13 years and older). Group ticketing options are available. Children aged under two years are free and do not require a ticket. There will be free public transport on all Queensland Rail City Network train and Brisbane City Council bus services (excluding Airtrain) for each ticketholder on the night of their session.

Visitors can also enjoy Brisbane’s balmy evenings with food trucks and a licensed bar on site serving tasty treats and tipples on Celebration Lawn, open to the public from 5pm daily.

Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said The Enchanted Garden was a highlight of the annual Christmas in Brisbane program.

“Christmas is the best time to be in Brisbane and our program definitely brings the festive spirit, while staying affordable for families,” Cr Schrinner said.

“The Enchanted Garden is a family favourite that always sells out in record time, bringing thousands of residents to the city to celebrate the holidays.”

“This year we are thrilled to add even more sessions to the program, so there are even more opportunities to enjoy the ultimate light display at Roma Steet Parkland.”

Australian-based award-winning media entertainment specialists Laservision are back on board to create and realise the fantastical vision and concept for The Enchanted Garden.

Additionally, 2023 marks the Event Partner, Royal Caribbean, celebrating their second season of sailing from Brisbane.

The Enchanted Garden opens at 6:30pm and concludes with the last session at 9:15pm. Session times are every 15 minutes with four session types: Early, Standard, Up Late and Low Sensory.
