AZUR is located in downtown Vancouver on 833 West Pender Street, standing as an independent family-owned brand founded by Farida Sayani in collaboration with her daughter, Sofia. Their personal touches are evident in a décor and design scheme that evokes a sense of timeless elegance. The mother-and-daughter team enlisted the help of architect Shoghig Tutunjian of Studio One Architecture Inc. and Inside Design Studio Principal Judy Henderson to help bring their vision to life.
The AZUR Legacy Collection Hotel is the first and only property in Western Canada to join a distinguished Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) portfolio that includes over 400 boutique luxury properties in more than 80 countries worldwide.
From its elegant and expansive lobby through to the height of luxury on the 13th-floor Penthouses, bespoke elements and a simple yet dignified design influenced by the glamour of the 1940s Art Deco style abound throughout AZUR, allowing touches of modern architecture and classical details to refine it. Opulent finishes, such as satin brass fixtures, inlaid marble floors, and the art pieces by local renowned artists that command attention in the lobby, are very articulately curated.
The classic luxury of European marble can be seen throughout the property — from the inlaid marble floors of the vestibule arranged in a chevron pattern with brass details, to the marble elevator, to the intimate and warm lobby accentuated by a grand gas fireplace with fluted metal and marble sides and a crystal chandelier suspended above a grand high cove ceiling.

While Dahlia’s menus will change with the seasons and availability of the best ingredients from BC and beyond, some of its signature dishes on the opening menu include Avocado Ritz (poached prawns, Marie Rose, baby gem lettuce, cognac), Escargot Vol-au-Vent (puff pastry, herb butter), and Tournedos Rossini (prime tenderloin, foie gras, brioche, shaved truffle, Barbera sauce).
Beyond the culinary, Dahlia’s bar program writes a new chapter in the city’s storied craft cocktail scene and will tempt cocktail enthusiasts with a thoughtfully curated collection of rare whiskeys, tequilas, scotches, and cognacs, as well as excellent and outstanding wines available by the glass and bottle.
