Slim’s Quality Burger, the nostalgic yet modern burger joint famed for its homage to 1950s and ’60s Americana, has announced its expansion into the sunny horizons of Queensland.
Two new locations, opening in Kippa-Ring and Slacks Creek in September, will serve an expanded breakfast menu alongside the classics and bring a novel drive-in experience that echoes the comfort and convenience of vintage American diners.
The Queensland restaurants will uphold Slim’s signature ae sthetic of an open kitchen housed in vibrant retro décor. Cherry-red banquettes, vintage light fixtures, and distinctive neon signage will transport customers back to an era of stylish, easy-going dining.
By intertwining past, present, and future, Slim’s Quality Burger is set to redefine the traditional diner experience. The new locations will feature an innovative QR code ordering system, allowing customers to place orders from their cars and enjoy prompt food delivery, marrying the nostalgia of a drive-in with modern technology.
“The opening of our Kippa-Ring and Slacks Creek restaurants are the beginning of a new chapter in our expansion journey,” says Nik Rollison, Co-founder of Slim’s Quality Burger. “Our Queensland locations have been purposely designed to allow for nose-in parking around the restaurant, reminiscent of an American diner, complete with a view into our open kitchens.”
Echoing Rollison’s excitement, Chef Greg Engelhardt speaks to Slim’s commitment to freshness: “Everything comes in fresh, never frozen. From on-site churned ice-cream to hand-cut fries, our offerings mirror our pride in our ingredients, production methods, and most importantly, our finished products.”
Guests can also look forward to a full coffee menu and a new range of tantalising breakfast items, from bacon egg and cheese to fresh squeezed OJ and healthy chia pudding.
“Our breakfast menu is designed to offer a great start to the day, the Slim’s way. We believe Queenslanders will love our unique take on these classics,” says Engelhardt. “Whether it’s our savoury Bacon and Sausage breakfast burger, our Sunrise loaded works, or our healthful Chia pudding with strawberries and nut-free granola, we’re thrilled to provide a varied menu to kick start the day.”
The Queensland locations will continue to serve Slim’s range of made-to-order burgers, featuring 100% Australian Angus beef patties, alongside their specialty hand-cut fries and classic sundaes. Catering to all customers, the menu will also offer vegetarian and gluten-free options.
