Leading travel risk management and emergency assistance company World Travel Protection (WTP) has appointed Cheryl Hood as Global Client Relationship Director.

Hood joined WTP more than 13 years ago and has risen through the ranks since starting as an Emergency Assistance Case Manager in 2010. Subsequently, she has held various roles, including five years as the Australian Operations Manager.

Hood’s new role represents a progression from her most recent position as a Client Relationship Director, enabling her to offer greater support and account management to WTP’s global clients and the operational team, in addition to the sales team.

WTP Chief Executive Officer Adrian Leach says Hood’s promotion elevates her to a global level, with WTP account managers from around the world now reporting to the Brisbane-based leader.

“Cheryl’s practical approach and extensive knowledge of WTP’s diverse operations, coupled with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with our partners and clients, have made her the go-to person for the WTP team,” Leach says.

Hood’s profound understanding of both her clients’ and employees’ needs means she will continue to play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

“I am thrilled to take on this new challenging role as WTP continues its global growth strategy. I am dedicated to guiding our clients through a high-touch experience and I look forward to continuing to build on these relationships as they are integral to our organisation,” says Hood.
