Revolutionary changes are underway in international aviation as Spanish flag carrier Iberia teams up with British Airways and Qatar Airways. Beginning in December 2023, this trilateral alliance establishes the largest cooperative airline enterprise across the globe, bolstering the connectivity of the oneworld alliance hubs in Doha, London, and Madrid.

Previously, the powerful collaboration between Qatar Airways and British Airways had already shaped the largest airline joint operation, serving more than 60 nations. With the entrance of Iberia into the dynamic partnership this July, it marks an unprecedented leap in global travel accessibility.

Commencing December 11th, 2023, Iberia is slated to initiate a daily service from its base at Madrid Barajas International Airport to Hamad International Airport. This connection will significantly increase the passenger capacity between these two bustling oneworld hubs. The united services of Iberia and Qatar Airways will offer three daily flights on the Madrid-Doha route, promising unparalleled connectivity between the Iberian Peninsula and crucial markets in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia. With a seating capacity 288 in Business and Economy classes, Iberia will employ the Airbus A330-200 for its operations.
