MGM CollectionRenowned international hospitality conglomerate Marriott International and acclaimed gaming and hospitality trailblazer MGM Resorts International have unveiled an exciting long-term licensing pact. This strategic affiliation paves the way for a new offering, the “MGM Collection With Marriott Bonvoy.” This joint initiative, which is scheduled to debut in October 2023, encompasses a cluster of 17 exemplary MGM resorts, constituting over 40,000 rooms scattered across Las Vegas and several other key cities in the U.S. This is a groundbreaking move in the hospitality industry, as it signifies a unique fusion of gaming and hospitality experiences for customers worldwide.

The joint venture was announced by Bill Hornbuckle, the President and CEO of MGM Resorts, and Anthony Capuano, the President and CEO of Marriott International. Hornbuckle emphasized the mutual benefits of the partnership, stating, “This agreement brings together two of the most trusted and iconic brands in hospitality and entertainment, enabling us to optimize our overall profitability and offer Marriott Bonvoy members greater access to our award-winning resorts in Las Vegas and across the U.S.”

Starting in October, prospective guests can reserve rooms at several MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy resorts through Marriott’s diverse digital channels, including the Marriott website and mobile app. By year’s end, it is expected that all properties will be accessible on these platforms. Nevertheless, these resorts will remain available for booking via MGM Resorts’ channels, including their website and mobile app.

Marriott’s CEO, Capuano, expressed his enthusiasm about the joint venture, emphasizing its potential for increasing Marriott’s global room distribution by 2.4 per cent. He said, “We are excited to make MGM Resorts’ incredible properties available on Marriott channels, allowing our members to enjoy Marriott Bonvoy benefits when they stay at MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy resorts.”

Loyalty program members from both companies will also benefit from this partnership. MGM Rewards members, belonging to MGM Resorts’ globally recognized loyalty platform with more than 40 million members, will be eligible to link their accounts with Marriott Bonvoy and enjoy select benefits. Similarly, members of Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott’s award-winning loyalty platform with over 180 million members globally, will be able to earn and redeem points for stays at all MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy properties.

In addition to this, the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy will include four renowned MGM resorts affiliated with existing Marriott collection brands: Bellagio Resort & Casino will join The Luxury Collection, ARIA Resort & Casino will join the Autograph Collection, Park MGM will become part of the Tribute Portfolio, and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will continue its affiliation with the Autograph Collection.
