The Brooklet officially opens for bookings on the 24 June 2023 in the Byron Bay Hinterland in northern New South Wales.
A luxury accommodation, wellness and hospitality collective, The Brooklet is the creation of Greta Smith and her family who, after travelling to Byron Bay more than 30 years ago, dreamt of creating their own magical getaway there one day.
The exquisite retreat is situated in the small town of Brooklet on a long and winding road where visitors can still find ‘honesty’ box roadside stalls overflowing with local produce, honey, eggs and blueberries. Brooklet is a 20-minute drive from Byron Bay, five minutes from Newrybar and eight minutes from Bangalow.
The Brooklet presents beautifully-appointed accommodation including spacious kitchens in the new three, one-bedroom and three, two-bedroom villas. The Bails, a beautifully restored 100-year-old milking shed, now sleeps six in three king bedrooms. Perched on the hill overlooking the hinterland with its own private mineral pool, it offers three spacious king bedrooms.
The 125-acre property features a 25-metre tiled mineral pool, hot tub, rainwater shower, gymnasium, infra-red sauna and outdoor ice bath plus tennis court. For the adventurous, there are walking trails to a waterhole to visit the cows and up to the highest point of the estate to take in breathtaking views and spectacular sunsets. A treatment room beckons for massages, facials, reflexology and a range of other therapeutic experiences. The Barn is the perfect meeting place for relaxation and can be booked for workshops and private events.
The Bar is perfect for a long lunch overlooking the pool and rolling hills or dinner under the stars and features a floor to ceiling cellar and wood fireplace with swivel chairs and leather occasional seats scattered throughout. The Deck, connecting The Barn and The Bar, overlooks the pool and is the ideal place to sink into comfortable lounges, and, in winter, in warmth by its fireplace.
The Kitchen, built outdoors on the field near The Bar, offers an immersive food and beverage experience where guests can gather to watch dishes being created by Executive Chef, Simon Favorito and his team and share in a feast, or perhaps make their own pizza from locally sourced produce or the organic vegetable garden and orchard.
Rates at The Brooklet commence at $750 per couple per night. All bookings are 10% commissionable.
