The baton will be passed from Charlotta Wieland, who has served as Star Alliance’s interim CEO since January 2023. Seconded from SAS – Scandinavian Airlines, Wieland will return to her role at SAS while resuming her seat on Star Alliance’s Alliance Management Board as the SAS representative. This transition will occur in the coming months, pending necessary administrative processes and clearances.
On behalf of Star Alliance and its member carriers, Mr Kirby thanked Charlotta Wieland for her dedicated service as interim CEO.
