The Australian Hotels Association (WA), in conjunction with Don Julio Tequila, has launched the inaugural WA’s Best Cocktail Competition, with Western Australians to help decide five finalists for 2023.
Voting for the inaugural WA’s Best Cocktail Competition is now open and will run until 9 June 2023, with voters going in the draw to win a $500 voucher to spend at an AHA member venue.
Finalists will participate in a mix-off in front of a live audience at the Hospitality Expo at Crown Perth on 27 June 2023.

AHA(WA) CEO Bradley Woods said the competition is about showcasing the first-class hospitality venues found across WA and the incredible cocktails they serve.
“There is something special about indulging in a carefully considered and curated cocktail,” Mr Woods said.
“Western Australians are fortunate to have extraordinary venues that are increasingly renowned for using local ingredients and new methods to create world-class cocktails.”
“WA’s hospitality scene has matured remarkably over the past two decades and with this, we have seen an incredible array of high-quality cocktails emerge in venues across Perth and regional WA.”
“As is the case with the famous WA’s Best Steak Sandwich Competition, the real winners from this competition are the patrons, who can enjoy delicious cocktails that truly raise the bar.”
