Earth Hour in Perth, AustraliaBooking.com has today released its latest search data trends for winter 2023*, revealing Sydney as the top destination this winter, up two places from last year, taking over from Melbourne. Spots three to five and nine out of the 20 destinations on the list are all cities in QLD, showcasing Aussies interest in escaping the cooler weather with some much-needed sun.

Similarly to 2022, snow destinations such as Jindabyne, Mount Buller and Thredbo have made their way into the top 20 just in time for a ski season preview as NSW received its first sprinkle of snow with icy temperatures dropping over the weekend.

With overseas travel and confidence well and truly back, data reveals plenty of Aussies will be heading to Europe in the next few months to lap up the warmer weather with London, Paris and Rome taking out the top three on the international search data list, replacing usually popular Bali destinations.
