With recent figures showing that Aussies are flocking to the city of blues, soul, and rock n’ roll, ranking third globally for visitors to Memphis, travellers are likely to be thrilled with the recent announcement that getting there just got even easier. Premium transportation company Vonlane has announced that from 26 May, it will offer a new route between Memphis and Nashville, including daily service and 40 weekly departures.
Touted as a private jet on wheels, the luxury coach service offer Vonlane’s signature 22 first class leather seats, ample personal space, complimentary Wi-Fi, and an on-board attendant offering premium cabin service with snacks, meals and beverages included.
Memphis Tourism’s Australian & New Zealand Director, Chris Ingram, said the introduction of the direct luxury transfer service is a welcome one. “Currently there aren’t any non-stop flights between Memphis and Nashville, which are both destinations of choice for an increasing number of Australians. The new private jet on wheels option gives travellers the ability to remove the hassle of airport wait times and transfers, or to take a road trip in absolute luxury. Guests board the coach 15 minutes before departure, and from that point they can put their feet up and relax, or get to work on the laptop.”
Introductory one-way fare set at $109 (USD) and roundtrip service set at $218 (USD) with no taxes, baggage or change fees.
