Thousands of Queenslanders flocked to Brisbane’s Streets Beach to experience the Royal Caribbean Beach Club, a one-day-only event that showcased the innovative Quantum of the Seas cruise ship. Royal Caribbean International transformed the beach into a unique experience that gave attendees a glimpse of the adventures that await them aboard the ship.
The event featured Australia’s largest-ever sand sculpture of a cruise ship, an interactive photo wall that transported fans to Quantum, and a DJ playing holiday anthems to create ultimate beach club vibes. Attendees also won one of four seven-night family cruise holidays to the South Pacific on Quantum and received an exclusive 15% off deal to book their next adventure on the ship at the Flight Centre booth.
Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas has completed its inaugural season sailing from Brisbane, generating over $53 million for the local Queensland economy. The ship’s innovative features, including the North Star all-glass observation capsule, the RipCord by iFly skydiving simulator, the FlowRider surf simulator, a rock climbing wall, and SeaPlex, the largest indoor activity complex at sea, have attracted holidaymakers looking for unique experiences.
Royal Caribbean’s vice president and managing director of Australia and New Zealand, Gavin Smith, expressed his excitement about the event and the company’s presence in Queensland. “We were so excited for Queenslanders of all ages to immerse themselves in the adventure and relaxation of the most innovative ship that calls Brisbane home, Quantum of the Seas. It was fantastic to see so many experiencing a taster of what their ultimate holiday can be, and we look forward to seeing even more Queenslander families and friends cruising with us for their next holiday,” he said.
To launch the Beach Club experience, Royal Caribbean partnered with radio personality and cruise convert Emily Jade O’Keeffe, who shared her family’s experience on the ship. “Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas delivered one of the best holidays my family has ever been on. My kids loved spending quality time with just our little family unit, hanging ten on the FlowRider and indoor skydiving with RipCord by iFly. I wanted to help give Queenslanders a taste of what makes a Royal Caribbean holiday so special, so they could experience the fun and excitement my family had, by helping launch the Royal Caribbean Beach Club,” she said.
Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas will return to Brisbane for a second consecutive summer season on October 28, offering adventurers the chance to book 2023-2024 cruises setting sail for three to 15 nights to destinations like the Queensland coast, the South Pacific, and New Zealand. The ship’s line-up of exciting and unique adventures includes first-at-sea experiences and over 20 restaurants, bars, and lounges, making it a must-visit destination for families, friends, and couples.
In conclusion, the Royal Caribbean Beach Club event was a massive success, showcasing the innovative and exciting features of the Quantum of the Seas cruise ship. The event’s Queenslanders saw the adventures and relaxation that awaited them aboard the ship. Royal Caribbean’s presence in the region is expected to grow, generating even more revenue for the local economy. If you’re looking for a unique holiday experience, Quantum of the Seas should be on your list.
