Luxury holiday home ‘Burrawang House’ is a triple treat as the temperatures dip, with three toasty fireplaces to choose from as you cosy up with a glass of local pinot noir.

The newly built five-bedroom getaway offers new levels of indulgence for a well-deserved short break in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Warm up by the huge 18th Century Belgian mantle fireplace in the living room, whilst playing a game of pool in the games room, or while stargazing outdoors beside the substantial recycled brick wood fireplace.

The architecturally designed modern country weather-board home is ideal for groups, able to accommodate up to 14 of your friends and family.

There are warming touches throughout including local wine, chocolate and goodies on arrival, an eight-person hot spa, a quality Rocket espresso machine with fresh coffee beans, and beautiful linen. Arrrgh that sounds good!

Set over one-acre and bathed in North facing sun the country home is just a short stroll to the renowned Burrawang Village Hotel pub and Burrawang Village General Store Café.

A huge entertaining kitchen features a three-metre kitchen island, double Bertazzoni oven and cantilevered window which opens to the outside living room. Inside, the large open plan living space features a towering cathedral roof design, oak floorboards, an oak dining table seating 12, and light streaming in through windows on all sides.

Plan your visit around one of the local events, Borealis In The Vines (25 May to 30 June 2023), a dazzling night sky display and part of Bowral Winterfest, Truffle Season at Robertson Truffles (10 June to 12 August 2023) and various Christmas in July dinners at local pubs and restaurants.

“Burrawang House is the ultimate retreat for when you want to switch off with plenty of spaces to eat, drink and play, and it’s so close to Sydney. This is where cows graze (across the road), the air is crisp and clean, and nights are quietly star-filled.” said Gabrielle Brewer, co-owner of Burrawang House.

The House features pergolas with recycled wood recovered from the Sydney Fish Markets, beautiful art collected over decades, antique furniture, bespoke joinery, lighting from the Montauk Company, Kate Spade, Paul Smith and Louis Poulsen and beautiful Armadillo rugs.

Burrawang House also oozes fun with a games room, snooker and pool table, dartboard, and outside ping pong table. There are many surprises including a blue Neon cow, the funkiest built-in bunk room – to delight kids, big and small – and integrated Sonos sound throughout. The five bedrooms include four king-sized bedrooms and a bunkroom with six king single beds, sleeping up to 14 people.

Established in 1865 Burrawang is a picture-perfect postcard village located just 12mins drive from Bowral. A renowned cool-climate wine region there are 15 cellar doors in the area, antique shops, pristine golf courses, open gardens, art galleries and excellent restaurants.

Priced at $5,790 for two nights, for up to 14 people. Burrawang House is as close to having your own luxury hotel for the weekend, but you can enjoy all the privacy and space you deserve.
