For one morning only, the teams behind two iconic Sydney brands – the Sydney Tower Eye and Bondi Ink, have opened the ‘The World’s Highest Tattoo Studio’, 250m above the city at the Sydney Tower Eye Observation Deck.
Bondi Ink artists, Chris Moit and Cristina Martinez, inked their patrons at the pop-up parlour, Alex Schoppe from Germany and Säde Sorjonen from Finland, winners of a competition launched on World Tattoo Day, with a Sydney-skyline-inspired tattoo.
Bondi Ink fans and body art lovers were invited to watch the artistry and take in the spectacular views from the highest vantage point in Sydney.
“Sydney has offered me the freedom and restfulness I didn’t know I was missing!” said winner Säde.
“I’ve never seen the city from such a stunning viewpoint! This experience and this incredible tattoo are the most magical ways to memorise my love of Sydney. I can’t wait to show my family back in Finland.”
Bondi Ink Artist, Chris Moit said, “Bringing our Bondi Ink energy to the Sydney Tower Eye for ‘The World’s Highest Tattoo Studio’ was a lot of fun! With views like this to inspire us, creating a Sydney Skyline design wasn’t hard, but I’m really stoked with how it all turned out.
“Neither Alex or I, are great with heights, so facing that fear for a victory SKYWALK together was a fun way to celebrate the occasion!”
