Carnival Venezia Registers with Bahamas Maritime AuthorityCarnival Cruise Line’s new ship, Carnival Venezia, has officially been registered with the Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA) to ensure safety and quality standards for its passengers. The registration process was completed during a ceremony in Cadiz, Spain, where the ship is undergoing dry dock.

The Bahamian flag was raised to designate the new ship registry, marking another maritime milestone for Carnival Cruise Line. This is the eighth ship the BMA has registered with the company, showcasing its cooperation and professionalism in achieving the highest safety standards.

Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line, expressed her excitement about the registration, stating, “We’re thrilled to celebrate another maritime milestone as Carnival Venezia joins the seven other ships we have registered in The Bahamas.”

Carnival Venezia was built in 2019 and accommodates up to 5,145 guests and 1,393 Carnival crew members. It will be the first ship to feature “Fun Italian Style,” combining Italian theming with Carnival’s signature fun. The vessel will offer various sailing options with ten different cruise durations and 22 unique itineraries featuring visits to 25 ports across 14 countries.

The ship’s first journey will be the 15-day transatlantic Carnival Journeys sailing from Barcelona on May 29, 2023, followed by year-round cruising from New York’s Manhattan Cruise Terminal on June 15, 2023. Passengers can now book their desired itinerary and enjoy a memorable cruising experience aboard Carnival Venezia.

The registration with BMA ensures that Carnival Venezia follows all safety protocols and meets international standards for cruising. It is a positive move for the cruise industry, which has been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with many ships forced to remain docked for several months.

Carnival Cruise Line has implemented new health and safety measures on its ships to protect its passengers and crew members against COVID-19. These include pre-cruise testing, social distancing, enhanced cleaning protocols, and mandatory face mask requirements.

In conclusion, registering Carnival Venezia with the Bahamas Maritime Authority is a significant milestone for Carnival Cruise Line, marking its commitment to providing passengers with a safe and enjoyable cruising experience. The ship’s unique blend of Italian theming and Carnival’s signature fun promises to deliver a memorable cruising experience for all. Book now and enjoy the ultimate cruising experience with Carnival Venezia.
