Sheldon Chalet, an eco-conscious chalet located in Denali National Park, Alaska, has announced its latest adventure offerings for 2023. The chalet is situated on a nunatak, 6,000 feet above the Don Sheldon Amphitheater, and can only be accessed by helicopter from Anchorage or Talkeetna. This year, the chalet is offering a range of new activities, including rock climbing, mixed climbing, and an elevated backcountry ski touring experience.

Guests can expect to experience unparalleled backcountry skiing conditions in the Don Sheldon Amphitheater from March to June. This exclusive offering includes a private gear fitting, custom backcountry skis with skins, and private glacier guides to explore the open terrain. After a glacier training course, guests and their expert guides will create fresh tracks among the powder coating the glacier.

In addition to backcountry skiing, guests can also enjoy backcountry alpine touring and skiing, rock climbing, mixed climbing, glacier trekking, ice crevasse and cavern exploration, rappelling, epic sledding runs and powsurfing, gourmet glacier picnics, snow cave or igloo building, and heli or fixed-wing tours of Denali.

Starting at $75,000 for up to 4 people for an exclusive 3-night minimum, guests will experience Denali’s unparalleled vertical grandeur in a way that has never been available before.
