Metro Art will also offer an Art Learning CenterThe highly anticipated “Metro Art” attraction has officially opened its doors in Bangkok’s MRT subway system at Phahon Yothin Station. Spanning 1,000 square meters, the art space and cultural hub will showcase a variety of art exhibitions, musical performances, and educational spaces for art lovers.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand is proud to support the “Metro Art” project, which was developed by Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited and Bangkok Metro Networks Limited, with a budget of over 30 million Baht. The space is expected to attract both tourists and local art aficionados.

Bangkok’s newest art space

Ms Wattana Sittiwaitayaporn, BEM Assistant Managing Director of Commercial Development and Corporate Communications, said “This is the first art exhibition in the subway system in Thailand, and it is part of BEM’s aim to give back to society.”

Throughout 2023, “Metro Art” will host a diverse lineup of events, including rotating exhibitions of modern and classic art by renowned artists, with PRJ and The Jump being the first to be featured. Additionally, there will be regular live music performances by famous musicians.

According to Mr Witsuwat Amkaphet, Managing Director of BMN, “This project is a game-changer as it blends art with the MRT system, becoming a new art destination in the heart of the city. With its convenient location at the Phahon Yothin station, we are confident that “Metro Art” will quickly become a must-visit attraction for tourists and residents alike.”
