Police are investigating the motives of a woman who battled airport staff and police by spraying them with a fire extinguisher.
The airport was busy Hartsfield-Jackson International in Atlanta, Georgia.
Officers rushed to the scene after being told a woman traveller had been sighted discharging a fire extinguisher near gate D-9.
According to Atlanta Police Department records cited by Business Insider, Jennifer Holder, 27, faces charges of obstructing law enforcement officers, two counts of simple assault and three counts of simple battery – after allegedly using a fire extinguisher to blast foam at airport and airline staff, as well as police officers.
Some reports suggest the problem began over a meal being eaten at an airport restaurant outlet and then allegedly not paid for.
Atlanta Police Department officers responded to a report that a “suspicious female” was attempting to open secured doors inside the airport.
She is said to have got hold of a fire extinguisher at some point.
