After a year of unprecedented growth for La Vie Hotels & Resorts, the company has announced the appointment of Shankar Sreekumar as Head of South & South East Asia.
The hire of Shankar comes during a huge period of growth for the owner centric hotel management company as it charges ahead in bolstering its team across South and South East Asia.
“Shankar is a proven professional with a strong background in tackling and succeeding in challenging roles with market-leading hospitality brands,” said Craig Bond, Managing Director, La Vie Hospitality Group.

Based at La Vie’s regional office in Bangkok, Thailand, Shankar brings with him almost two-decades of experience in the hospitality industry and a career that has spanned the globe.
A respected leader in the hospitality industry, before joining La Vie Hotels & Resorts, Shankar held numerous operations-focused roles, including that of Vice President, Operations for Onyx Hospitality Group where he created successful operating platforms to lead hotel teams and manage asset performance. Previously, as Director, Centre of Excellence, New Hotels for IHG, AMEA, he was in charge of establishing teams to ensure effective pre-opening of hotels, and a disciplined framework to deliver successful hotel launches, whilst maintaining strong owner relationships.
