Stargazing Collection for 2023Stay in Europe’s Largest Dark Sky Park with the Starriest Skies in England.

Each property within the Stargazing Collection will provide a unique set-up to best enjoy the night skies, as it will either be fitted with a telescope or provide the option to include a stargazing kit basket for the duration of the stay. The jewel in this collection of cottages, The Star Barn, will provide not only a specialty stargazing kit but also a phone photography telescope adaptor to capture these celestial scenes and include access to a resident astronomer, as well as the opportunity to take part in a Dark Sky Experience Safari overseen by a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society.

Crabtree & Crabtree will launch its new Stargazing Collection of cottages in January 2023, with each stellar property selected for this new collection boasting a phenomenal location either within or bordering England’s Northumberland International Dark Sky Park, Europe’s largest dark sky park.

Crabtree & Crabtree Introduces New Stargazing Collection for 2023

Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2023, The Northumberland Dark Sky Park encompasses 572 square miles of Gold Tier Dark Skies, where vast inky skies filled with thousands of shimmering stars, comets and the Milky Way make it the UK’s top spot for stargazing.

Cottages with stargazing baskets will include a telescope and goodies ranging from a star map and picnic rugs with warm blankets to cookies, hot chocolate and a flask for two and more.

Stays at one of Crabtree & Crabtree’s Stargazing Collection cottages cost from GBP £84 per night, with minimum nights per stay varying per cottage. The Dark Sky Experience Safari is available for guests of the Star Barn at an additional cost of GBP £90 per person with a two-person minimum and six-person maximum.

Whether on a romantic getaway or travelling as a family or with friends, this is an incredible experience to delight in the quintessentially English countryside and tap into one’s inner astronomer under the most spectacular circumstances.
