Experiential Travel platform, CamperMate, has brought first Nations experiences and adventures into the limelight, listing almost 200 of Welcome to Country’s Aboriginal experiences and adventures on its app and the CamperMate.com website, making an ideal one-stop-shop resource of things to do while exploring around Australia.
Created by travel technology company TripTech, the top ranking Campermate app is free to download and uses an interactive map and geofencing to help a large community of travelers explore, plan and book everything they need for road tripping across the nation.
For Indigenous experiences marketplace Welcome to Country, the new partnership with CamperMate offers exposure to around 500,000 app users each year who are searching for things to do pre trip and while on the road.
From this week, a diverse range of some 197 Aboriginal experiences will be available to book via the Campermate app and CamperMate.com, bringing First Nations cultural experiences and adventures to the forefront for travellers at that crucial point of booking travel online.
CamperMate Chief Operating Officer Matt Johnson said CamperMate is more than just a travel app or a booking site, it is a growing community of travel enthusiasts who can book and share their experiences via the app’s superior technology.
“CamperMate enables users to organise all of their travel needs in one place and the ability to now easily locate Welcome to Country experiences on our CamperMate platform is a welcome addition to our loyal and growing community of users,” Mr Johnson said.
Welcome to Country Board Member, Paul Ah Chee Ngala said the partnership was a great opportunity to reach a large and growing community of travellers and to make it easy to include an Aboriginal cultural experience on holidays.
“This is a significant partnership for Welcome to Country and the Indigenous tourism industry as a whole, bringing incredible experiences with Traditional Custodians to the forefront of Australian travel,” Paul Ah Chee Ngala said.
