Galvanized a festival of heritage is on next month in Ipswich. Galvanized is the City of Ipswich’s festival of heritage, showcasing the best heritage experiences and events Ipswich has to offer across 11 days from 1 to 11 September.

Restaurant and Catering Awards

Dovetails Restaurant has been nominated as a finalist in the Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence in the Contemporary Australian Restaurant – Informal category. The restaurant won the award last year. “We are proud to represent Ipswich in such a prestigious award program, showcasing the best of what our community has to offer and encourage people to make the journey out west.

Spicers Hidden Vale’s Homage Restaurant is also a finalist, in the Premium Dining category.

Prohibition Party

The Workshops Rail Museum is once again gearing up for their annual Prohibition Party. The party is being held on Saturday September 3 from 6pm-10pm with all the glitz and glam of the roaring 20s. Grab a bootleg brew, play poker and hit the dance floor.

Chilli Festival returns to Ipswich

The chilli festival is back for another year. Organisers are prepping the spices and getting the chilli recipes ready for a day to celebrate all things hot. The chilli festival will be held on September 10 from 11am-7pm at the Ipswich Showgrounds. There will be live music, dance performances, a freestyle dog troupe display, car and motorbikes and charity pillion rides.
