There is so much you can do in Australia in two weeks. The most cost-effective trips fly you into and out of major cities, including the great cities of Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide, so you can take advantage of free days and sightseeing excursions in each city. Several day trips can be taken to well-known locations like the Great Barrier Reef and the Blue Mountains, as well as excursions into the Outback’s desert area and even into New Zealand.

A road trip around the NSW south coast is a great experience if you have some spare time and enjoy seeing coastal regions.

Sydney

Sydney, Australia’s biggest city, situated in the New South Wales region, should be included in any decent Australia trip plan. It’s a bustling city with lots of interesting things to do and fantastic restaurants. The Sydney Opera House and adjoining Harbor Bridge are two must-see landmarks. This world heritage landmark is stunning, especially at night, and you can’t afford not to visit.

Spend the day in Darling Harbor, a pedestrian-friendly area home to the Australian National Maritime Museum, the LG IMAX Theater Sydney, and various shops, restaurants, and family-friendly activities. Find all sorts of entertainment spots in Sydney, including some of the greatest casinos in the land. Playing live online casino in Australia is almost a must, given the ambiance offered everywhere you look. Check out the neighborhood’s many street acts and, if you can time it correctly, the free Friday night fireworks display. It’s a fantastic opportunity to take all Sydney offers in one place.

Melbourne

Melbourne must be included in your two-week itinerary for Australia. The distance from Sydney to Melbourne is nearly twelve hours, and using the train in a sleeper class is the most convenient way to get between these two destinations. Australian trains are fast, comfortable, and affordable.

You get to view the countryside, spend one night at a hotel, and return the following day feeling rejuvenated. You get to Federation Square, which is situated next to Melbourne Central Railway Station, where you will probably spend a lot of time. The tourist information booths, transit hub, fantastic restaurants, and museums are all at Federation Square.

Visit the Great Ocean Road for a few day trips. It is a 243-kilometer (151-mile) long road that is regarded as one of the world’s most beautiful drives. On this drive, there is enough to see and do that it could take you weeks, but plenty of day trips will provide you with memories that will last a lifetime. You can make bus reservations to the Great Ocean Road at Federation Square’s information center or any other information center in town.

Phillip Island, approximately 90 minutes south of the city, is another terrific place to visit while in Melbourne. Phillip Island is a great place to see a lot of Australia’s distinctive wildlife because it is home to several bird sanctuaries, a wildlife park, and the biggest colony of fur seals in the country. Observing the Fairy Penguins is the main draw, though. These adorable little guys are the smallest of the penguin family, standing only about 13 inches tall.

Adelaide

Adelaide, the final destination on our two-week tour of Australia, can be seen independently or before or after Kangaroo Island. With a population of over 1.3 million, Adelaide is known for its parks, fine dining, museums, and amiable locals.

Adelaide, the capital of the South Australian province, was designed as a grid-style city, with parks around it as one of its many appealing aspects. It is the ideal city for visitors who enjoy day walks.

Inspirational architecture and top-notch facilities, like the South Australian Museum and the Art Gallery of South Australia, are everywhere you look. It is convenient to visit the museums because many of them are all in the same building.

Many nice eateries serve some of Australia’s top cuisine. A well-liked restaurant was Lemongrass Thai Bistro which you can book your spot via their website. Find unique restaurants in the Central Market neighborhood along Rundle Street, where many prominent personalities hang out.

The city showcases its exceptional qualities each year by holding several well-known events, including the Festival of Arts, Adelaide Film Festival and Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

A 2-week itinerary for Australia must include a stop in Adelaide. Continue to New Zealand if you still have time for a spectacular experience, especially in Christchurch.
