Blizzard conditions at Thredbo saw snow fall from the top of the mountain down to the village from Saturday night all the way through to Monday morning. The fresh snowfall adds to what has already been a great period for snowmaking, with over 200 snow guns firing on multiple evenings throughout the past week.
On Sunday morning, guests awoke to see that the village had been transformed into a winter wonderland, with a blanket of fresh white snow getting everyone excited for a big week on the slopes.
First laps of Australia’s longest runs were in hot demand this morning, with skiers and snowboarders eager to shred the fresh powder that is covering the mountain from top to bottom. With all of Thredbo’s lifts now open for the season, guests are set to experience world-class snow conditions this week as they explore thousands of metres worth of terrain.
As if the great snow conditions aren’t enough, Thredbo Resort also has a stacked events calendar for guests to enjoy every day this week and throughout the entire winter season. Beginning today, the Kosciuszko Pale Ale Uni Week is taking over with a non-stop après line-up, and the first of three First Base après ski parties series is set to kick off this Saturday with DJs Stace Cadet and Mel Hall, in addition to hosts Tom Tilley, Hugo Gruzman and Harvey M.
