Emirates Boeing 777-300EREmirates, one of the world’s largest international airlines, is increasing its Perth services gradually to reach daily flights by 1 May. Emirates’ increase in services comes as Western Australia re-opened its borders recently and in response to pent up demand for both inbound and outbound travel.

As travel once again returns to normal for fully vaccinated passengers, Emirates services will operate at 100 per cent capacity on the Perth – Dubai route, with flights to be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three-class configuration. The wide-body aircraft operating flights EK420/421 will offer 8 seats in First Class, 42 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 304 seats in Economy Class. Tickets can be booked on emirates.com, the Emirates App, or via both online and offline travel agents.

Emirates is increasing its services to the Western Australia point in phases, gradually stepping up the frequency from the current three weekly flights to seven by May, according to the following schedule.

Barry Brown, Emirates Divisional Vice President for Australasia said: “Emirates is excited to increase services to Perth as Western Australia’s borders reopen and demand travel grows by the day. We have been busy boosting our operations in response to the resumption of travel. As part of our commitment to Australia, we are playing a role in the recovery of its travel industry, and facilitating a return to normalcy, for our customers to have the freedom to travel again.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer greater connectivity for those looking to return home, travel and be reunited with loved ones. This comes as we celebrate 25 years of flying to Australia and our flagship A380 services resume across Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.”

The easing of Western Australia’s border restrictions will allow international travellers to enter Perth with no quarantine required on arrival, provided they are Australian citizens, permanent residents, immediate family members, or visa holders.

Passengers must provide proof of being triple vaccinated against COVID-19 with a TGA-approved vaccine, or double vaccinated if not eligible for a third dose. Western Australia regulations require arriving international passengers to undergo two rapid antigen tests (RATs), within 12 hours after arrival and on day 6. Passengers must also apply for a G2G Pass prior to travel.

For more details on entry requirements to Australia, pre-departure COVID-19 testing requirements and mandatory documentation, customers can check the travel requirements page on emirates.com. Customers are urged to check the applicable eligibility requirements prior to booking.

Emirates currently operates twice-daily services to Sydney, and once-daily flights to Melbourne and Brisbane, which are all served by the flagship A380 with 516 seats on each flight.

Emirates is committed to connecting Australia with its global network of over 120 destinations through 35 weekly flights by May via points serving New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia.

As travellers across Australia begin to travel overseas again, Emirates has extended its flexible booking policies to August 2022 in the instance travel plans need to be adjusted. Some tickets can be extended by up to 36 months, in the airline’s dedication to flexibility.

Customers of Emirates and Qantas have access to an expansive network of destinations thanks to the codeshare partnership between the two airlines. In addition to over 120 destinations that Emirates flies to, its customers currently have access to nearly 30 Australian destinations through the partnership, while Qantas customers are able to fly on Emirates to Dubai and access over 50 cities in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

Emirates remains focused on taking the stress out of travel and has led the industry in protecting the health of its customers to ensure a feeling of safety and confidence when deciding to fly. Emirates customers travel with the assurance that the latest health and safety measures are in place at every step of the journey.

Customers are encouraged to check their latest government travel guidelines and ensure they meet the travel requirements of their final destination. For more information on entry requirements for Dubai visit https://www.emirates.com/au/english/help/covid-19/dubai-travel-requirements/
